About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager to lead our efforts in managing complex systems programs, demonstrations, and studies for Telesat Government Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for day-to-day execution of one or multiple programs and studies, managing internal resources, coordinating teaming partners and vendors, and ensuring contract and program deliverables are achieved within scope.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, win, and support new programs that develop greater Lightspeed awareness within the USG, and lead to the adoption of its new technology, capabilities, or service platforms that meet USG mission requirements.
  • Be a senior member of the TGS leadership team, helping to create a culture of collaboration and inclusiveness, and keeping the focus on the strategic priorities of the customer and TGS.
  • Have a win-win mentality, finding the most beneficial solution to challenges for all stakeholders, and be responsible for all technical, business, project functions, and managing all program costs, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Brief all levels of the TGS and parent organization, as well as external briefs to customers and various government agencies.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship status is necessary, as this position will require an active U.S. TOP SECRET/SCI Security Clearance.
  • 10+ years of professional work experience in managing complex systems programs, demonstrations, and studies, or other relevant experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience working with and making presentations to government customers and senior leadership.
  • Deep knowledge of program management, advanced knowledge of related disciplines within the work area, and ability to identify linkages and potential impact on projects, programs, or systems.
  • Experience in leading competitive and sole-source proposals, and leading capture strategy and proposal efforts, and risk management experience.
  • Experience serving DoD customers as a collaborative partner, with extensive knowledge of DoD research laboratories, Program Offices, Program Executive Offices, and HQ's staffs across different Services and agencies.
  • Prior military service in related space and telecom fields is highly desirable.
  • Broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, address multiple issues, and set priorities.
  • Reliable, organized, flexible, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to monitor, interact, and course-correct technical and project teams to support evolving customer requirements.
  • Excellent business sense to proactively identify and resolve problems and issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and sustain positive customer relationships.
  • Deep and recent successful experience with NASA and DoD Research Laboratories.
  • Demonstrated experience leading development programs, including spiral upgrades to existing hardware and software systems, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience.
  • Experience in Competitive Captures and New Business Development.
  • Satellite manufacturing, satellite operations, or satellite terminal technology knowledge.
  • Current Top Secret / SCI Clearance is highly desired.
