Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team at EverVet Partners. As a vital member of our animal care team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport animals to and from the kennels in a safe and humane manner
  • Ensure that animals have access to fresh food and water at all times
  • Clean and maintain the kennel areas, including disposing of trash and cleaning animal waste
  • Provide basic care and attention to animals, including grooming, playing, and administering medications as instructed
  • Accompany animals on walks and provide emotional support to those in distress
  • Monitor and report any changes in animal behavior or health to the medical team
Requirements
  • Reliable transportation to and from the hospital
  • At least one year of experience in animal care or a related field
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math and writing skills
  • Ability to express compassion and empathy towards animals and their owners
