Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our team at Andgar Corporation. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative food processing equipment for the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate customers' operations and propose automated solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Design new products and improve existing ones to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Set the design vision for projects and lead the design team to achieve it.
  • Contribute subject matter expertise in design, reliability, and application of products.
  • Liaise with design and technical supervisors, customers, and other stakeholders to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
  • Manage engineering and factory installation projects from start to finish.
  • Create detailed designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Prepare and review rough sketches and collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are feasible and meet quality standards.
  • Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Seek assistance as needed and ask questions in a timely manner to ensure project success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in food processing equipment design.
  • Current driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, as well as training in Aerial Work Platform, Forklift, Rigging, and Signaling within 12 months of hire.
  • Hands-on experience with computer design software, such as SolidWorks.
  • Ability to apply engineering principles to design buildings, structures, and their components or assemblies.
  • Ability to follow instructions with appropriate self-direction and interact with coworkers, contractors, vendors, and management in a positive manner.
