Senior Family Law Paralegal Job Description

Gravis Law, PLLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Family Law Paralegal to join its team in the Richland, WA office. As a leading provider of legal services, Gravis Law is committed to delivering exceptional results and unparalleled client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support local attorneys and teams in case planning, development, and management, legal research, client communication, and document preparation.
  • Manage attorney dockets to ensure timely completion of tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Review files and confer with attorneys to discuss file status and upcoming deadlines.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for client meetings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including letters, briefs, memorandums, and discovery.
  • Maintain client files, both electronic and physical.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct legal research and draft documents.
  • Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), forms, and workflow process improvements.
  • Exercise leadership in coordinating the work, training, and mentoring of internal office staff and other administrative staff.
  • Cover the front desk and phones as needed to ensure prompt and professional service to clients and visitors.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education required.
  • Paralegal certificate.
  • 5+ years of paralegal experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.

Work Environment:

Duties will be performed in a standard office environment. Employees must maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Gravis Law's policy. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to work weekends, holidays, be on call, and travel overnight on occasion.
