Job Description

The Clinical Neurophysiology Department at MUSC Health & Medical University of SC is seeking a highly skilled EEG Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive assessments, documentation, and education under general supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing routine and continuous video EEG studies in accordance with the 10-20 system outlined by ACNS.
  • Providing guidance, mentoring, and education to lower-level technicians.
  • Monitoring in-patient vEEG/LTM for an uninterrupted, clean recording.
  • Interacting professionally and interpersonally with hospital staff, physicians, patients, and family.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited program of Electroneurodiagnostic (END) technology or the equivalent.
  • Registered as an EEG Technician by ABRET and must be maintained.
  • One year EEG Technician work experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
