Housekeeper II Job Description

Broadview at Purchase College is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper II to join our team. As a Housekeeper II, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and service interior common spaces, bathrooms, lobbies, entrances, locker rooms, fitness room, salons, movement room, and other areas as assigned.
  • Perform high and low dusting, damp wiping of horizontal and vertical surfaces, and removal of all trash throughout the facility.
  • Arrange furniture in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, urinals, partitions, mirrors, metal, brass, aluminum, stainless steel metals, glass windows, and panels in doors.
  • Dry mop and vacuum floors in all corridors, entrances, and office areas.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of proven experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting, preferably in an environmental service role.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • The ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
  • Must be motivational, energetic, and passionate about serving others.
  • Must possess patience and sensitivity to others' needs, with the ability to work with community groups.
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written).
  • Good inter-department communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lifts and carries up to 50 lbs. with assistance occasionally.
  • Pushes and pulls up to 50 lbs. with assistance occasionally.
  • Climbs, reaches, bends, and twists occasionally.
  • Reaches, bends, and twists occasionally.
  • Sits, stands, and walks frequently.
