Responsibilities

Job Summary

As a vital member of an interdisciplinary team, you will conduct physical therapy interventions aimed at assisting patients recovering from injuries or illnesses to regain functionality, enhance mobility, alleviate discomfort, and prevent or mitigate long-term physical disabilities. You will deliver and coordinate thorough physical therapy services through effective evaluation, planning, education, and execution of tailored treatment strategies in alignment with established Physical Therapy Standards of Practice. Your role will also encompass indirect patient care tasks such as documentation, scheduling, family education, participation in rounds, collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team, attending staff meetings, managing supply orders, and contributing to ongoing quality assurance and performance enhancement initiatives.

Additionally, you will be responsible for effectively addressing legal, patient rights, safety, maintenance, and emergency situations; engaging in professional development, continuing education, self-directed learning, and overseeing the performance of staff, aides, students, and volunteers as required.

Essential Job Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and data collection, interpret findings, and develop treatment plans.
  • Implement and adjust therapeutic care plans based on the evolving needs of patients throughout their treatment journey.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation of Physical Therapy interventions is completed accurately and thoroughly, adhering to FHS documentation standards.

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Program and completion of Clinical Fieldwork. Preferred knowledge and experience in rehabilitation, orthopedic, and medical/surgical environments that demonstrate the requisite skills and abilities.

Licensure/Certification

  • Current Washington State license for Physical Therapy or a valid Washington State Interim Permit (maximum 6 months unless an extension is approved by the Department Director).
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.

Pay Range

$61.91 /hour
