Key Responsibilities:- Utilize scientific principles and methodologies to create innovative technical solutions for various platforms, including mobile, embedded, and web-based systems.
- Implement software engineering best practices to enhance information display and visualization processes.
- Employ modeling and simulation techniques to solve intricate problems across diverse fields such as nuclear energy, chemistry, and critical infrastructure.
- Conduct analysis, testing, modification, documentation, and maintenance of simulation-based systems pertinent to scientific domains.
- Perform assigned computational modeling and analysis tasks effectively.
- Make informed selections and adaptations of technical alternatives to optimize project outcomes.
- Develop and evaluate designs, requirements, operational documentation, and testing methodologies.
- Enhance software development skills using relevant technologies, including C/C++/C#, Python, and Java.
- Provide expert consultation to teams regarding applicable technologies and operational processes.
- Deliver high-quality features that meet or exceed client expectations.
- May provide mentorship to junior staff and lead project teams.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline from an accredited institution.
- Experience in simulation and modeling techniques, including agent-based modeling, system dynamics, and process modeling.
- Knowledge of techno-economic analysis and life cycle assessment methodologies.
