Position Summary:
The Healthcare Insurance Collector plays a crucial role in managing the collection of outstanding receivables from various insurance providers, including government programs and managed care organizations. This position requires a proactive approach to follow up on unpaid accounts and a thorough understanding of patient eligibility for different coverage options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct timely follow-ups on outstanding insurance claims and receivables.
  • Analyze accounts to determine patient eligibility for coverage and assess aged accounts for potential appeals.
  • Perform related duties as necessary to support the collection process.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience in healthcare claims processing and collections.
  • Familiarity with Managed Care Contracts and their interpretation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of UBO4 or HCFA 1500 claims and their data elements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Basic office skills and proficiency in computer applications are necessary.
  • Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with an alternative work week schedule.

Compensation:
The pay rate is competitive and commensurate with experience.
