Job Overview

Kennedy Services is seeking a highly qualified Child Development Teacher to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position, requiring a 6-month probationary period.

About the Role

This position involves planning and implementing high-quality child-development programs for children aged six weeks to three years, based on best practices and compliant with Head Start Program Performance Standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Care and Safety: Assist with the care, safety, and well-being of all children, ensuring a secure and nurturing environment.
  • Program Implementation: Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate activities and information to address the child's needs, guidance on home safety, nutrition, effective discipline, and constructive play activities.
  • Developmental Screenings: Conduct developmental screenings and family needs assessments to identify areas for support.
  • Training and Professional Development: Attend required training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or associate degree in early childhood education is preferred.
  • One year of supervised experience in a licensed childcare center is required.
  • A 90-hour Child Care Certificate and 45-hour Infant/Toddler certificate are mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $43,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. New employees must receive at least one COVID-19 vaccination shot in a two-shot series or be fully vaccinated prior to the date of hire.
