Position Overview
As a Compliance and Risk Management Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to assess adherence to established policies and identify potential risks associated with application access controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate compliance strategies and deliver consultation services related to risk assessment across various business sectors within the organization.
  • Design and execute remediation plans to address risks linked to the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of data.
  • Evaluate controls implemented by application teams to mitigate identified risks related to access management.
  • Provide consistent updates to the Project Owner and IPO Leadership regarding the effectiveness of data security measures, along with recommendations for the adoption of new protocols, standards, and policies.
  • Offer strategic and tactical guidance on Information Security and IT matters.
  • Develop risk management frameworks that align with organizational objectives while safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems and data.
  • Identify and communicate necessary security and business continuity measures to relevant business units.
  • Classify and assess information assets, identify threats and vulnerabilities, and recommend suitable information security controls and strategies.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Security, or Risk Management.
  • Proven experience in security with a strong understanding of risk management frameworks and the ability to evaluate administrative and technical controls.
  • Exceptional communication skills.

Physical Requirements
Ability to effectively perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA and other federal, state, and local standards.


This role involves sedentary work, primarily sitting or remaining stationary, with occasional movement around the office for meetings. It also requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks on a computer using a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
