Industrial Hygienist

The VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Hygienist to join our team. As an Industrial Hygienist, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and patients.

• Conduct environmental surveys and assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Develop and implement environmental health and safety programs to prevent occupational illnesses and injuries.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Provide training and education to employees on environmental health and safety procedures and protocols.
• Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and develop corrective actions.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in industrial hygiene or a related field.
• Knowledge of safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures, and standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and regulatory agencies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Master's degree in Industrial Hygiene or related field.
• Certification from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH).
• Experience with environmental management systems, respiratory protection programs, and decontamination programs.
