Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Director of Business Expansion to join our team in the Texas Market, focusing on supporting a designated group of broker relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth: Achieve sales targets and oversee a maximum of 50 brokerages, specifically in TX, to boost revenue growth.
  • Broker Relationships: Manage and nurture relationships with brokers, including developing and sustaining these relationships, supervising premium production, setting compensation and incentives, implementing retention strategies, and overseeing service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Broker Network Management: Be responsible for the overall broker network within a designated territory, including proactive prospecting, marketing of products and services, and ensuring consistent broker performance management.
  • Business Planning: Lead annual business planning with each broker, conducting periodic performance reviews, and collaborating closely with partners on performance corrections and commission adjustments.
  • Communication: Act as the company's positive and proactive representative to brokers, ensuring timely communication of general messages, company news, and developments.
  • Training and Education: Provide training and education on products, services, systems, and technology to brokers.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather market intelligence, competitor information, and industry insights in the assigned territory, and share valuable insights on the company's position relative to competitors.
  • Broker Operations: Manage broker prospecting, appointments, rehabilitations, terminations, and ensure the efficiency of sales operations.
  • Book Acquisition: Identify and execute book acquisition strategies, manage broker metrics, and utilize CRM databases effectively.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years' experience at a carrier, MGA, or insurance producer with increasing responsibility for customer relations, E&S underwriting, contract binding, and team management.
  • Skills: Proficiency in interpersonal and organizational skills, knowledge of insurance workflows, roles, responsibilities, and compliance standards, understanding of insurance coverages, E&S market conditions, general liability risk evaluation, ability to organize work efficiently, strong written and verbal communication skills, negotiation skills, deep understanding of regional customer markets and competitive landscapes, aiding in production and distribution operations, strong business acumen, decision-making skills, and ability to maintain positive energy under pressure.
