We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepare patients for exams.
- Perform exams per department protocol and understand cross-sectional anatomy.
- Familiar with the ALARA program and follow proper radiation safety protocol.
- Demonstrate ability to critique own films and complete studies within acceptable time limitations.
- Administer oral barium products or intravenous contrast material to patients as ordered by physicians.
- Practice appropriate infection control and sterile techniques.
- Provide patient education and ensure patient comfort.
- Operate CT equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images are produced.
- Exhibit working knowledge of contrast injectors and laser printers.
- Exhibit understanding and proficiency with electronic imaging.
- Thoroughly and accurately complete all required documentation.
- Radiography Certification/Registration (ARRT)
- Relevant State licensure (where required)
- Demonstrated CT proficiency
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (healthcare)
- CT Certification/Registration (ARRT)
