Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Evaluate Aircraft Systems: Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft structures, structural components, and engines to identify defects and recommend repairs.
  • Lead Maintenance Teams: Supervise and guide lower-level technicians in aircraft repair and technical inspection techniques and procedures.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Verify that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and Implement Quality Control Programs: Contribute to the development and implementation of quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Communicate Effectively: Provide clear and concise communication to team members, management, and other stakeholders regarding maintenance activities and quality control issues.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Five years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience, with at least one year of experience inspecting MDS aircraft assigned.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Possess a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) or have a minimum of five years' experience as an aircraft inspector on the Mission Design Series (MDS) airframe being inspected.
  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI(T1) Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in a maintenance or inspection role, with the ability to lead small groups independently and provide oversight updates to program leadership.
  • Technical Knowledge: Broad working knowledge of aircraft maintenance, inspection techniques, FAA regulations, and technical publications.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to read, interpret, and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts, and technical publications.
Work Environment:

The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor will work in a moderately lighted, heated, and ventilated aircraft maintenance hangar. The work environment may be physically demanding, with frequent lifting of parts and equipment up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds.
