Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our team at The Proving Ground. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards, ensuring that every dish that leaves our kitchen meets our quality and presentation expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including cleaning and cutting ingredients, cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks, and plating prepared foods according to senior chef's guidance.
  • Kitchen Operations: Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations, ensuring that the kitchen is well-organized and equipped to meet the demands of a busy restaurant.
  • Quality Control: Work with servers to ensure that orders are completed accurately and on time, and that every dish meets our quality and presentation standards.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Wash and clean kitchen utensils and equipment, and store them properly at the end of shifts, ensuring that the kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that kitchen operations and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations, and that all necessary procedures are followed to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 1+ years of experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Skills: Excellent cooking skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
