Key Responsibilities:

  • Complies with facility protocols and guidelines
  • Conducts assessments to identify patient requirements
  • Monitors signs and symptoms that indicate changes in the patient's health status
  • Develops care plans tailored to the needs of assigned patients
  • Aids in the diagnosis of respiratory disorders
  • Evaluates patients and administers necessary diagnostic tests
  • Collaborates with medical professionals to establish suitable treatment plans
  • Oversees the use of respiratory equipment and devices
  • Provides education to patients and their families regarding lung health
  • Implements interventions in accordance with care plans and institutional policies
  • Follows safety and infection control protocols
  • Communicates any changes in the patient's respiratory condition to relevant staff

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Valid Respiratory Therapist Certification or Registration
  • Preferred one year of clinical experience
  • Adheres to professional standards of practice
  • Completion of Amergis' Competency program if applicable
  • Current CPR certification
  • Health certificate in compliance with regulations
  • Successful completion of orientation training
  • Proficiency in computer usage
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
