Pharmacy Career Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician Lead to join our team at Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of prescriptions.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and distribute daily task execution and metrics to ensure seamless production.
  • Manage and monitor overall production team metrics by section, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Order and track supplies and future requirements to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
  • Pull correct stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions for packaging.
  • Accurately package prescriptions in blister cards based on the directions for use, either by hand or using packaging machines.
  • Pull correct pre-packed blister cards and affix prescription labels.
  • Sort and organize completed prescriptions.
  • Perform quality assurance checks as directed.
  • Liaise with the procurement team to handle NDC changes, out-of-stock medications, and back-order medications.
  • Oversee daily task accomplishment by the team and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify and address issues that affect production goals and deadlines.
  • Facilitate team member time-management and task assignments based on requirements.
  • Interface with the Production Manager for daily goals, metric development, and team-related issues.
  • Strategize manpower requirements based on daily, weekly, and cycle production targets.

Requirements:
  • Active Florida State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Ability to perform pharmacy calculations.
  • Understanding of basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions.
  • Ability to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight and guidance.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and traverse close quarters quickly.
  • Ability to stand or be on feet for an eight-hour shift.

Preferred Skills:
  • One year of experience in a pharmacy environment.
