Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Admissions Counselor to join our team at Brunswick Job Corps Center. As an Admissions Counselor, you will play a crucial role in guiding prospective students through the admissions process, providing information, and ensuring a smooth transition into our educational and vocational programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Student Outreach and Engagement: Actively engage with potential students to provide information about Brunswick Job Corps and its programs, and to understand their unique needs and goals.
  • Admissions Guidance and Support: Assist prospective students in navigating the admissions process, providing detailed information on program offerings, admission requirements, and any other relevant details.
  • Individualized Counseling and Career Development: Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to offer personalized guidance on program selection and career paths, and to help students achieve their educational and career goals.
  • Application Processing and Data Management: Manage the admissions application process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all required documentation, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospective and admitted students.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Work closely with various departments within Brunswick Job Corps, including academic and vocational programs, to coordinate and facilitate a seamless transition for admitted students, and establish and maintain positive relationships with local schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance awareness and facilitate student recruitment.

Requirements

Associates degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field, and two years related experience required. Bachelors degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field preferred. Experience may include successful Job Corps enrollment or successful enrollment in other youth development programs. Must possess a valid in-State Drivers License and meet Company insurability requirements.
