At PIH Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist to join our Hematology/Oncology Clinic team on a per diem basis, working days with a flexible schedule.

This is an excellent opportunity for a top-performer with solid knowledge of pre-operative and PACU/recovery nursing to showcase their expertise. The ideal candidate will be well-qualified in both pre-op assessment and care as well as post-op experience.

We offer a NO WEEKEND, NO HOLIDAY, and NO CALL schedule, with a 6-hour workday from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Our nursing staff enjoys a great work-life balance, and we are committed to providing a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Required Skills:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Georgia Nursing License
  • Current BLS, ACLS
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
  • Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
  • Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Excellent teaching skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians, and fellow employees
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrate accountability, creativity, innovation, and be receptive to change
  • Possess basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology

Qualifications:
