Job Summary:
The incumbent will oversee the daily operations of the psychology internship program, providing essential support to faculty and trainees. This role encompasses a variety of administrative functions aimed at ensuring the smooth running of the program, including compliance with accreditation standards and maintaining educational quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Support for Training Director:
- Facilitate annual meetings with faculty and interns to discuss program developments.
- Prepare for the annual internship program review, including data collection and action plan implementation.
- Monitor post-graduate survey results and compile summary data.
Daily Operations: Manage the daily functions of the internship program, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders; maintain up-to-date knowledge of APA policies and program requirements; collaborate with the Associate Training Director to develop intern rotations and schedules.
Data Management: Oversee the intern management system to track compliance and duty hours; ensure that interns are trained to recognize signs of stress and fatigue; manage evaluations and maintain intern portfolios.
Fiscal Responsibilities: Process reimbursements and manage leave requests for residents.
Curriculum Coordination: Organize events and ensure completion of all required components for accreditation; assist in developing remediation plans and preparing letters of recommendation.
Human Resource Management: Address the needs of faculty and interns, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations; maintain confidentiality of records.
Recruitment Activities: Assemble training files for new interns, coordinate orientation schedules, and ensure all necessary equipment is prepared.
Monthly Tasks: Maintain a schedule of didactic events and ensure all essential documentation for accreditation is up to date.
Miscellaneous Duties: Provide administrative support for interns and fellows; coordinate marketing and communication efforts for program recruitment; maintain historical records.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential.
