About the Role:
As a Nurse Resident, you will be part of a comprehensive residency program designed to provide you with the tools and resources you need to succeed in your role. You will work closely with experienced nurse educators and clinicians to develop your clinical and critical thinking skills, and participate in a variety of educational sessions and training programs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with established nursing models and standards of practice.
- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, and document the administration of care in the patient medical record.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and possible side effects.
Requirements:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing completed by start date.
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State (with a grace period to pass NCLEX).
