Job Summary

The Licensed Mental Health Therapist is a key member of our team at Springfield Clinic, responsible for providing high-quality therapy, counseling, and intervention services to our patients. As a licensed professional, you will work closely with our physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement effective treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct counseling and case management services to individuals and families, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Conduct mental health screenings and initial assessments to identify patients who require additional support.
  • Provide short-term, structured psychotherapy as part of an appropriate treatment plan.
  • Facilitate referrals to other services, such as substance abuse treatment, specialty care, and community resources, as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to patients and their families.
  • Develop and coordinate community education programs, as needed or requested.
  • Provide assessments and care to patients in nursing homes and homebound patients, as requested by physicians.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, preferred.
  • Emotional resilience and stability, required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both in writing and verbally.
Working Environment

This is a normal office setting, requiring long periods of sitting. May have exposure to communicable diseases.
