Albany Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse II to join our team in the General Medical/Surgical department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and Evaluate Patient Needs: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized plans of care to address these needs.
- Implement Physician Orders: Accurately and efficiently implement physician orders, including administering medications, starting IVs, and performing treatments and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Nursing Team: Work closely with the nursing team to create a comprehensive plan of care for all patients, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Provide Primary and Emergency Care: Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, including administering over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
- Direct and Guide Ancillary Personnel: Direct and guide ancillary personnel, including maintaining standards of professional nursing and ensuring that all team members are working together to provide exceptional patient care.
- Current RN License: Current RN license in the state of New York.
- Experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing: At least 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing, with a strong focus on patient care and teamwork.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
