Volt is currently seeking a Precision Machining Specialist.
In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Setting up and operating CNC horizontal or vertical lathes and machining centers to execute various machining tasks.
  • Developing machine tool programs by analyzing blueprints, sketches, and specifications to ascertain dimensions and tolerances of the finished product.
  • Selecting, aligning, and securing fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on equipment such as mills, lathes, and grinders.
  • Ensuring that the finished products meet specified standards.
  • Optimizing machine operations to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that machines and the work area are tidy at the beginning of each shift.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of two to three years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to perform complex machine setups independently and produce high-quality prototype components.
  • Capability to edit programs on various controllers with supervisor approval.
  • Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to maintain machine process capability.
  • Familiarity with common specifications.
Compensation: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
*The offered pay range will depend on various factors, including education, experience, job responsibilities, and certifications.
