Job Title: Assistant Infant Teacher

At The Goddard School - Macomb, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Infant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Infant Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment for our youngest students.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Lead Teacher in establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher to create a cohesive and engaging program for our infant and toddler students.
  • Develop and implement activities that promote physical and intellectual growth, social and emotional development, and language skills.
  • Establish positive relationships with families and communicate effectively to ensure a smooth transition between home and school.
  • Prepare and maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education degree or certification preferred.
  • Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations and handle crisis situations with confidence and composure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and move quickly and safely in the classroom.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of schedules, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings.
