About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Project Team Leader to join our team at DuPont. As a key member of our project leadership team, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional project teams to deliver business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project execution strategies for design, procurement, and construction.
  • Lead project steering teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and address any needs or concerns.
  • Provide leadership for effective and cohesive teams, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly understood.
  • Ensure project deliverables are accomplished in a quality manner and lead project gatekeeping reviews.
  • Identify non-capital alternatives or lower capital options.
  • Ensure adherence to Process Safety Management (PSM), Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) excellence, Mechanical Integrity, and Quality Assurance (MIQA) requirements.
  • Facilitate economic evaluations, prepare funding requests, and ensure necessary financial reporting and accounting.
  • Champion the 'no change' concept and ensure only changes consistent with business and project objectives are approved.
  • Develop and implement Project Quality Plans, including auditing work processes and deliverables for compliance.
Requirements
  • 4-year B.S. in engineering (Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience leading capital projects greater than $500,000, including experience leading capital projects greater than $5,000,000.
  • Experience working with full-service design contractors.
  • Prior experience improving performance and capability, and demonstrated courage to challenge the status quo.
