About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Optum. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the pharmacy functions and ensuring the smooth operation of our medication management services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Fills prescription orders and verifies medication under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist
  • Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and maintains inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Performs various clerical duties related to the pharmacy department
  • Communicates effectively with strong verbal and written skills
Requirements
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Colorado
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license
  • Ability to work on an as-needed basis and provide PTO and call-out coverage
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience
