Job Summary

We are seeking a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support our mental health and specialty pharmacy operations. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff.
  • Prescription Filling: Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
  • Inventory Management: Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies, and verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records.
  • Communication: Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Other Duties: Perform various clerical duties relating to the department, and work with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.

Requirements

  • Active License: Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Colorado.
  • Certification: National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Transportation: Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license.
  • Availability: Ability to work on an as needed basis only and provide PTO and call-out coverage at both Montrose and Grand Junction sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience.

Compensation

The hourly range for this position is $16.00 to $28.27 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
