Your primary focus will be on traveling to customers' locations, listening to their needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet their expectations.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assemble and install mechanical components or machine parts
  • Adjust and test equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Repair or replace worn or broken door parts using hand tools
  • Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair
  • Install hardware or other interior fixtures
  • Fabricate parts or components
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product line to build relevant estimates for customers
  • Collect payments for goods or services

**Requirements**

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a combination of technical skills, mechanical comprehension, and excellent interpersonal skills. You will be interacting with customers daily, and it is essential to demonstrate patient and respectful behavior, representing Door Pro America in a positive light. Additionally, you must be willing to take direction from superiors and be committed to ongoing learning and professional development.

**Basic Position Requirements**

  • Previous experience as a service technician or installer in the garage door industry or home services industry is preferred

**Abilities and Qualifications**

  • Mechanical and technical skills, with a willingness to continue learning
  • Ability to lift items weighing 75 lbs or higher
  • Capacity to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to relate to customers and resolve issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliability and self-motivation
