Dock and Door Equipment Technician

The Dock and Door Equipment Technician is responsible for the proficient repair and service of customer equipment, maintaining good communication and working relationships with customers, peers, and management, representing and selling the entire company, and being profitable with direct labor billing.
We bring industry-leading expertise in lift trucks, racking, conveyor, dock and door, rentals, parts, and service to our customers, providing the right supply chain solutions and services to keep their business up and running.
The ideal candidate will have mechanical abilities, be motivated to continuous self-development and training, and be willing to work overtime when necessary.
Responsibilities include:
- Repairing all types of Dock and Door equipment that RW sells and services
- Repairing all types of equipment that Raymond West sells and services
- Updating training and skills on a continuing basis
- Maintaining a profitable billing level
- FOLLOWING all Service Department procedures
- Maintaining an accurate assigned parts inventory, if applicable
- Maintaining a good working knowledge of customers and equipment in assigned areas
- Accounting for 100% of available time during working hours
- Performing other specific duties and projects as assigned by the Service Supervisors or Managers
Requirements include:
- Raymond Level 1 Certified or working towards that goal, if applicable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Willingness to follow mandates and procedures of the Service Department
Travel requirements include daily travel within assigned territories, with reasonable accommodations made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
