Position Overview

The Private Client Division at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. is on the lookout for a Registered Client Service Associate to join their team. The primary role of the RCSA is to assist Financial Advisors in the sales, marketing, and daily operations of a flourishing wealth management practice. This position demands exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment. This role is essential in executing various daily responsibilities to ensure the team’s business grows, operates seamlessly, and adheres to service excellence standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand and adapt to the service requirements of diverse accounts to address daily inquiries from clients and advisors.
  • Quickly acquire knowledge of various forms and account procedures to assist clients effectively.
  • Learn to leverage research and technical support tools.
  • Create high-quality analytical reports utilizing different software applications.
  • Enhance relationships with advisors by providing timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
  • Exhibit integrity and respect in all interactions.
  • Foster and develop existing client relationships.
  • Support marketing initiatives and organize client events.
  • Prioritize daily tasks, monitor project progress and deadlines, manage phone communications, take messages, and schedule appointments.
  • Show initiative and a desire to deepen knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and concepts.
  • Engage with other support members, Financial Advisors, and Management within the local office.
Qualifications
  • Possession of Series 7 and 63/65 (or 66) licenses is required within the first six months of employment.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a sales assistant or Client Service Associate in a corporate or brokerage setting.
  • High proficiency in technology, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), with the ability to quickly learn internal software systems.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude seeking growth and opportunities to expand their role.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in all aspects of daily work, along with excellent organizational skills.
  • Capable of effectively communicating with all levels of employees, management, and clients in a professional, timely, and friendly manner.
  • Able to meet established deadlines and work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks to completion with minimal supervision.
Compensation:

For positions in California, Oppenheimer is legally required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This range reflects various factors considered in salary decisions, including skills, qualifications, experience, licenses, certifications, and other organizational needs. The estimated base salary range is between $55,000 and $65,000. Additionally, certain roles may qualify for other forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses.
