Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide SMART customer service at all times, seeking out customers to understand their needs and assisting in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
  • Checkout Operations: Operate a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines, and provide proper monetary change to colleagues as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Inspect returned merchandise for damages, enter and submit customer orders, and review and place online orders and returned merchandise in the appropriate areas.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a safe and secure work environment, including conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Less than 1 year of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information, and 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier.
  • Skills: Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
