Position Overview

Salary: Starting at $16.90 per hour

Family Health Care is currently seeking candidates for the role of Optometric Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Educates patients about the examination and treatment processes.
  • Prepares patients for vision assessments, conducting lensometry and assisting in tests for visual acuity, corneal curvature, depth perception, macular integrity, color discrimination, and visual fields using specialized ocular testing equipment.
  • Maintains comprehensive patient records.
  • Performs technical tasks related to equipment management and vision correction preparations.
  • Guides patients in selecting and troubleshooting eyewear.
  • Manages incoming and outgoing patient referrals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in Optical or Medical settings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records.
  • Knowledgeable in billing processes related to optometry and associated services.
