Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Soar Autism Center is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Job Summary:

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Soar Autism Center, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve the communication abilities of children aged 2-6, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques and instruments.

You will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, including behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care. You will also actively involve families in the treatment process by providing them with education, resources, and support to foster their child's speech and language development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve the communication abilities of children aged 2-6
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
  • Actively involve families in the treatment process
  • Regularly evaluate and document the progress of each child
Qualifications:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist with a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program. A license to practice speech pathology in the state of Colorado is required. Preference will be given to candidates with 3+ years of experience, but we are also open to new Speech Language Pathologists starting their career.

We are looking for a candidate who embodies a playful spirit and the ability to connect and engage with young children. Prior experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) or a willingness to learn from our clinical teams is a plus.
