Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive speech and language services to students, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) for students based on their unique needs and goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom and home environments.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise on speech and language goals and progress.
  • Educate and train school staff, parents, and caregivers on strategies to support students' communication skills.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, including progress notes, reports, and billing information.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Licensure: Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Pupil Services License in Speech-Language Pathology from the Ohio Department of Education.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
  • Knowledge of school-based therapy models and the IEP process.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
Working Conditions:
  • The position requires working in a school environment, which may involve moving between classrooms and schools within the district.
  • The role may involve lifting or moving equipment used for therapy.
