Senior IT Operations Specialist

TAP Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Senior Operation IT Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the stand-up and maintenance of stand-alone networks, including server, host, and network components, used for data collection, processing, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct integration and system level tests, including integration testing, failure mode testing, performance testing, and burn-in testing.
- Produce test plans and procedures and generate test result reports for customer approval and acceptance.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy complex UDP and TCP/IP networks that interface with multiple physical layer protocols.
- Provide technical support for operational/field IT support and ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems.
- Active TS security clearance.
- 7+ years of experience in operational/field IT support, or an additional 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with Linux and network setups, including switches, wireless access points, etc.
- Knowledge of common System Administrator tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to technically define non-technical requirements and formulate actionable, operational plans accordingly.
- Technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Active TS/SCI w/polygraph.
- Python and/or Ansible experience.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and low voltage/cabling schematics.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance, based on a current background investigation (SBI). Clearance processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
