Job Summary:
Regency at Shelby Township is seeking a skilled Infection Preventionist Nurse to join our team. As an Infection Preventionist Nurse, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing systems to prevent or control infections among residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveillance and monitoring of healthcare-associated infections to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Assess infection prevention problems and develop recommendations for corrective action to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
- Develop, review, and revise infection prevention policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Investigate and respond to outbreaks, and report communicable diseases to the relevant authorities as required by law.
- Provide educational offerings and training to staff on infection prevention and control practices.
- Collaborate with department heads and physicians to improve care and ensure that infection prevention practices are integrated into daily operations.
- Follow up on employee and resident exposures to communicable diseases to ensure prompt and effective response.
Requirements:
- RN or LPN licensure in the state.
- Current CPR certification.
