Job Title: Support Services Assistant Lead

Elko County, NV is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Support Services Assistant Lead to join our team. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support services to our customers and employees.

Job Summary:

The Support Services Assistant Lead is a mid-level administrative position that requires strong leadership and communication skills. In the absence of the Support Services Manager, you will have the authority to make decisions and take charge of the administrative office. Your duties will include addressing customer issues, employee oversight and training, and representing the Support Services Manager in decisions related to the operations of the administrative office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to our customers and employees
  • Oversee and train administrative staff to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Represent the Support Services Manager in decisions related to the operations of the administrative office
  • Manage and direct the operations and activities of all support services duties and requirements
  • Perform duties such as accounting, civil processing, CCW processing, evidence, convicted person registration, fingerprinting, receptionist, records management and distribution, sex-offender registration, warrants, and other duties as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with all office, city, county, state, and federal regulations
  • Participate in the development and implementation of short and long-term goals and objectives of the department
Requirements:
  • Principles and practices of management and supervision
  • Principles of public personnel administration and employee relations
  • The Criminal Justice System and methods of processing information through the system
  • Requirements for maintaining confidential information in accordance with legal standards and/or office policies
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
