POSITION SUMMARY:
• Entry-Level Technician
SUPERVISION:
This role reports to the Service Manager.
NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE NECESSARY:
While experience in pest management and sales is beneficial, it is not a requirement. We provide extensive classroom and field training to equip you with the skills needed to thrive in this role. Our Training Program is designed to ensure you have the confidence and resources to succeed.
ROLE OBJECTIVE:
This position is integral to our mission of sustainability, focusing on acquiring new clients and reinforcing the value of our existing services. Through inspections, estimates, and service delivery, technicians play a crucial role in customer retention and business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Engage with customers to identify issues and explain service details
• Work outdoors for the majority of the day
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Navigate tight spaces, including crawling and kneeling
• Apply liquid treatments to soil
• Perform basic drilling, trenching, and cleanup tasks
• Enter data and document services on mobile devices
• Availability to work Monday through Saturday during peak seasons
REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to comprehend safety and regulatory documents
• Basic math skills
• Problem-solving abilities
• Successfully complete a series of training exams
• Clean driving record
• Pass a background check
• Pass a drug screening
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Training will be conducted through Insight's online University Program, with ongoing support from the Service Manager and Lead Technician. This role requires maintaining positive customer relations in a courteous and professional manner.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must possess or obtain the necessary licenses/certifications with the assistance of company training.

Dependent coverage is available at group rates. Employees working 30 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits starting the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Insight offers two health plan options through Aetna.
Employees enjoy their birthday off with pay and can earn five days of Paid Time Off (PTO) after one year of service. Insight complies with state Sick Time laws, recognizing it under our PTO policy.
HOLIDAY PAY:
Employees who have completed one year of service are eligible for holiday pay on the following observed holidays:
• New Year's Day
• Memorial Day
• Fourth of July
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
All technicians are assigned a company vehicle for work-related duties, with maintenance and fuel costs covered by the company. Employees are responsible for their transportation to and from work unless authorized to take the company vehicle home after 60 days of employment.
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION:
Seasonal reviews will occur at the end of the summer season.
