About the Role:

The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Salon Manager to oversee all aspects of a salon's operations, providing leadership and support to staff to increase clientele and business growth. This role requires exceptional guest service skills, with the ability to provide quality consultations, perform services efficiently, and maintain high standards of quality and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional guest service, understanding guest needs, and performing services requested in a professional manner.
  • Lead and develop a team, creating a positive work environment, training, and providing guidance on business and technical competency matters.
  • Resolve guest issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling, transactions, and light housekeeping duties.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized salon environment.

Requirements:

  • Current cosmetology or barber license and manager license as required by state/provincial regulations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds.
  • Continuous repetitive movement with fingers, hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Ability to be exposed to various chemicals and fragrances used in performing services.
  • Ability to observe guests' hair, including close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to communicate with guests regarding services offered and requested.
