Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in a manufacturing environment.
- Perform tasks such as bending and installing rigid conduit, setting up and pulling wire and cable, terminating power, control, and instrumentation wire and cable, and installing electrical gear, equipment, and devices.
- Install and troubleshoot PLC's, AC and DC Drives, and other electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot prox & limit switches, oven controllers, and cab wiring harness issues.
- Have knowledge of single and three phase motors and motor control systems.
- Read and comprehend technical drawings, work orders, and instructions.
- Operate, maintain, and work in close proximity to various power equipment, including forklifts, man-lifts, excavators, drills, saws, hydraulic tools, and automatic machinery.
- Ensure accuracy in maintaining production records, such as quantities and types produced.
- Participate in all required training programs to maintain skill levels for continuous improvement.
- Operate required powered industrial vehicles within the guidelines of the McLaughlin Body Powered Industrial Vehicle Program.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and comply with all safety rules and procedures.
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Journeyman's card or 6 years proven/documented hours of training and experience
- Occasional horizontal lift up to 75 pounds
- Frequent horizontal lift up to 25 pounds
- Occasional floor to waist lift up to 50 pounds
- Occasional waist to crown lift up to 50 pounds
- Pushing/pulling up to 75 pounds
- Standing for the duration of the shift, with the possibility of working over 8 hours a day
- Standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, and walking up/down stairs on a regular basis
- Climbing up and down ladders up to 20 feet high repeatedly on a shift
- Working at various heights via platforms, scaffolds, ladders, or man-lifts
- Working in hot or cold temperatures, with summer time temperatures potentially reaching or exceeding 100 degrees
