Job Summary

As a Quantitative Analyst in our Risk Management team, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing models to forecast solid fuel fleet market positions, fueling requirements, emissions costs, and incremental system costs of energy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide analytical expertise and communicate complex statistical concepts to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize the operation of the PUP (production utilization model) and production costing model.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the solid-fueled fleet and the variables that impact system dispatch.
  • Communicate complex statistical concepts to stakeholders and provide analytical expertise to cross-functional teams.
  • Automate processes through programming and maintain a thorough understanding of the solid-fueled fleet.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Math, Computer Science, or related field and an advanced degree (MA or Ph.D.) in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics or finance.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, VBA, SAS or related programming language.
  • 3+ years experience in programming, data analysis, and complex mathematical and statistical modeling.
