Job Summary:

The Database Architect will design and implement scalable and secure database solutions based on organizational requirements. This includes evaluating and recommending database technologies and tools to meet business goals and objectives, developing and maintaining data models to represent the organization's information architecture, and ensuring data integrity, consistency, and normalization across databases.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to data management
  • Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to integrate database systems with applications
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the development team on database-related issues
  • Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to prevent data loss
  • Develop, implement, and test disaster recovery procedures for databases
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related scientific/technical discipline, or 8 years of additional relevant experience considered in lieu of Degree
  • 5+ years of experience architecting enterprise-wide database solutions
  • Prior experience in a federal data warehouse and understanding of government procedures and regulations is preferred
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
