About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) Principal Engineer - AVE Horizontal Integration to join our team at Northrop Grumman Defense Systems. This role will be based in Roy, UT and will provide enabling support for all business areas within the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive operational and technical efforts and initiatives across the MS&A department and broader AVE Systems Engineering & Integration organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement system-level solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in MS&A to support the development and integration of complex systems.
  • Develop and maintain system models, simulations, and analyses to support system design, development, and testing.
  • Work closely with the AVE Systems Engineering & Integration team to ensure seamless integration of MS&A capabilities into the overall system architecture.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Master's degree.
  • 1 year of technical experience in mechanical/aerospace product development.
  • 1 year of experience with MATLAB, Python, C++, or similar.
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Software).
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles.
  • Self-starter with strong technical problem-solving skills, an aptitude for coordination across diverse teams to drive efforts to closure.
  • Broad technical experiences in mechanical/aerospace engineering of missiles/launch vehicles.
  • Experience in systems engineering principles including requirements development, decomposition and allocation, MBSE (CAMEO or similar).
  • Experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) verification and validation (MIL-STD 3022).
  • Experience with physical testing, instrumentation, Design of Experiments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $92,600 - $139,000. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
