Position Overview- Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care

- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
The Pediatric ICU Clinical Nurse is a dedicated Registered Professional Nurse who delivers safe and competent care based on established nursing theories and research principles to a designated group of pediatric patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care by applying the principles of Relationship Centered Care and utilizing the nursing process grounded in theory and evidence-based practices.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, employing critical thinking in patient management.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and assess care plans.
- Educate patients and caregivers about their care plans, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and all members of the healthcare team.
- Implement quality and safety practices, identifying areas for improvement and engaging in quality enhancement initiatives.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pediatric ICU setting.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Certification in BLS and PALS required.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate care.
