The California Energy Commission is seeking a highly skilled Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Specialist to join its staff and work on zero-emission vehicle infrastructure planning and deployment. Under the general direction of the Program Manager in the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Unit, the specialist will help administer the Clean Transportation Program, which is investing over $1 billion to accelerate the deployment of zero-emission transportation infrastructure and support in-state manufacturing and workforce training and development.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as the Energy Commission's project manager for agreements and work with the unit on block grants to accelerate deployment of EV charging infrastructure.
- Evaluate policy design and implementation proposals, participate in regular strategy and coordination calls, and recommend action to Energy Commission management.
- Develop solicitations, score proposals, and develop and manage funding agreements, including review and approvals of invoices, amendments, and deliverables.
- Work as part of a team to develop and implement grant funding opportunities, oversee and manage project implementation, and evaluate and recommend potential updates to electric vehicle infrastructure policies and strategies.

The CEC supports a hybrid workplace model with office-based and remote-centered workers. Limited in-person attendance and occasional travel may be required based on the needs of the division.
