About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at DAVITA. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an acute hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and Troubleshoot: Use your critical care thinking skills to assess and troubleshoot complex patient cases.
  • Deliver Nephrology Care: Provide nephrology care across multiple renal therapies, including peritoneal, continuous renal replacement, and apheresis.
  • Work Autonomously: Work independently in a hospital setting, delivering dialysis to patients and becoming an integral part of the team.
  • Dynamic Environment: Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying shifts and schedules.
  • Collaborate with Team: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Current RN License: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where practicing.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule with mandatory overtime required due to the nature of the acute treatment.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to multiple hospitals within a given area.
  • Experience: Experience assessing, trouble shooting, and making sound recommendations in stressful situations.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to push/pull large hemodialysis machines around the hospital with little or no assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hemodialysis Experience: Hemodialysis nursing experience in an acute or chronic setting.
  • Medical/Surgical Experience: Medical/surgical (Med/Surg), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), and/or Emergency Room (ER) experience.
  • Certifications: Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN), Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN), and/or Certified Hemodialysis Nurse (CHN).
