We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Award Staffing in Andover, MN. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to metal fabrication and welding.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel materials.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Ensure welds meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Stainless & Carbon Steel Welding.
- Ability to read and accurately use measuring tools including tape measure, caliper, micrometer in both imperial (inch) and metric units.
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind, or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
- Stainless Steel (25%), Carbon Steel (55%), and small amounts of Aluminum (20%).
- Sheet metal 7-18GA, and straightening.
- Operate power grinders/tools, drill press, and other miscellaneous hand tools.
- Lifting up to 50lbs.
- Standing for long durations of time.
- Use hands tools and grinders.
- Conform to all safety procedures and policy.
