Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding seasonal opportunity? We have an exciting position available for a Winter Seasonal Maintenance Worker with the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT).

Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing general highway maintenance duties, including snow and ice removal, traffic maintenance, and equipment operation. As a Winter Seasonal Maintenance Worker, you will be an essential part of our team, ensuring the safety and efficiency of our highways and roads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various types of equipment, including snow plows and traffic maintenance vehicles.
  • Perform snow and ice removal duties, including salting and sanding roads.
  • Conduct traffic maintenance activities, such as repairing and installing traffic signs and pavement markings.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and repairs, including minor repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Work in a team environment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our highways and roads.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in inclement weather.
  • Ability to operate specialty traffic equipment, such as bucket trucks and paint equipment.
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
